A Dynamic Desktop Computing company - InstallFree, in a second round of funding, has raised $8.5 Million. The round of financing was led by Ignition Partners and Trilogy Equity Partners, both firms based in Bellevue, Washington. This follows the first round of financing of $1.7 Million, secured in November 2007.

InstallFree, Inc. a leading provider of ‘dynamic desktop computing’ from Stamford, CT, announced it has received $8.5M in financing to increase its product development and also extend its board of prominent technology veterans.

Dynamic Desktop Computing is a revolutionary platform which allows users to interact with applications across a wide variety of usage scenarios, whilst also enabling users to work anywhere without limitations, for example, accessing your desktop from anywhere.

The firm launched its first product in April 2008 and was recently selected as one of the “Hot Companies to Watch in 2008” by Forrester Research. The list consisted of new and emerging business models & technologies.
