Now this is what I’ve been talking about. A non-profit, grassroots organization calling itself Takes All Types (TAT) has developed a Facebook App to quickly find blood donors.
What’s great about the service is that it truly capitalizes on Platform by filling a niche while augmenting the ways in which people connect. Connecting via blood type is a strike of brilliance, especially in times when rare blood types are needed desperately.
The app has also elected a cutesy feature called Blood Buddies, that shows all of your friends and what blood types they have. Also within the app are methods to help users facilitate blood drives and all sorts of information about blood.
It’s simple, it connects people and, most of all, it’s quite useful.
