Flixwagon, a tool that enables users to upload and share videos across the web has made a major announcement. This includes extending the reach to a larger population by integrating Flixwagon with Nokia’s Share on Ovi, a free media sharing service. This would enable users streaming live videos from their cell phones to store each video on Share on Ovi. I bet the integration is going to make Flixwagonning a lot more fun with this ability to make direct storage.
Here’s the press release:
LEXINGTON, MA — October 30, 2008—Flixwagon, leading provider of high-quality live video broadcasting from mobile phones to the Web and TV, today announced that it has integrated with Nokia’s free media sharing service Share on Ovi http://share.ovi.com/. Now Flixwagon users who stream live video from their mobile phones using the Flixwagon service can automatically store their videos on Share on Ovi.
Once Share on Ovi account details are set on the Flixwagon Website, users are able to broadcast video, chat live, and upload to Share on Ovi, all with a single click on their mobile phone. Users can also edit video details and post content to Share on Ovi before, during or after each broadcast, and determine whether videos are publicly available to all Share on Ovi users or stored privately. Additionally, users can download the original video file to their computers, or watch their Flixwagon videos directly on their mobile phones.
The Flixwagon mobile application is available for download directly from mobile browsers at m.flixwagon.com/nokia. Adding the Share on Ovi account details is done by logging-in to the Flixwagon Website at http://www.flixwagon.com and accessing the Settings/Ovi section.
“Flixwagon continues to strengthen its position as the premier mobile video broadcasting solutions provider for the mobile and media industries.
