What it does

Find email correspondence a bit too static in today’s day and age?

Homecourt Client Extranet offers a dynamic solution to online

collaboration between companies and thier clients. Homecourt Client

Extranet allows users to apply the application to their own website or

another forum, and “keep the ball moving.” Projects (designated as

“balls”) can be put in your own or a client's “court”- meaning that a

specific task is delegated to a specific individual. Every “ball” is associated

with a discussion thread that both parties can participate in; threads can be

tagged and stored for easy access. Finally, invoices can be presented on

the court as well.

In their own words

“Manage your clients with a web-based collaboration tool that tracks your

projects, files and invoices, and keeps the ball moving.”

Why it might be a killer

Home Court Extranet seeks to replace email as the primary means of

collaboration, and their product definitely makes a good argument in their

favor. The layout is much more interactive, accessible, and transparent

than typical email spreads, and encourages meaningful discussion. Even

better, prices range from a basic free version to a premium, $65/ month

option.

Some questions

Where does proprietry data come into play? One company may need to

collaborate internally surrounding a certain issue, but may not want to

share the information in a forum that is easily accessed by everyone.
