Nominations Begin Now: LiveJournal Saves Board Seats for Two Users
2008-05-05 16:00:09 by Kristen Nicole in Mashable!

SUP acquired LiveJournal a few months back, and has spent the time since establishing its new dual residency as an international company. Already having a large user base in Russia, thanks to an early partnership with SUP, LiveJournal now needs a way in which to unite the two major populations of its larger user base.

So far, the focus has been on the Advisory Board, which has two open spots reserved for a Russian and a US user. The nominations have begun, and will last until May 14th. Voting goes until May 30th, when the winners will be revealed.

While SUP has a definite goal with its Advisory Board, here are a couple of other companies that could stand to have a user or two on their board:

YouTube - because someone needs to remind it that users still matter
Ning - why not?
Twitter - it could use the help

And some other companies that should not add users to the advisory board:

MySpace - unless you want Tom and a 12 year-old running the show
Facebook - users already run the show
Twitter - on second thought, this wouldn’t even help
