Valleywag, a Silicon Valley gossip site, is destined to close and exist as a column on Gawker. Apparently this came after a joke turned into reality; Valleywag editor Owen Thomas joked about how he’d end up writing Valleywag as a column for Gawker. But this was surely not taken as one, as Denton liked the idea and made his decision. So this brings Thomas down from the post of Editor to a columnist, as the column is to reside on the Gawker website now.
