I’m in like with you, a social network that turned into a gaming site, has raised $1.5 million in a round of venture funding. The round was lead by Spark Capital along with current investors Baseline Ventures, Betaworks, Ron Conway and an investment from Marc Andreessen (Netscape and Ning founder). Previous funding of the site occurred last year through angel round.
The site couldn’t perform upto the expectations as a social network, this made the funding news highly rumoured. After the social network failure, the site started rebranding itself as a social games hub and for that funding was a must thing.
Charles Forman, founder of the site, was introduced to Spark’s Bijan Sabet last year through young entrepreneurs. Forman has already started enlarging his team by hiring a number of game developers along with COO (Chief Operating Officer), Poojitha Preena who is a Skype veteran.
