Sometimes when on a shared PC you own, you don't want others to change the settings of your IE. This is a very effective trick to prevent others from modifying your Internet Options.
To disable the internet options for your IE, follow these steps:
Go to start>run . In the box that comes up type in gpedit.msc .
In the window that pops up, navigate to
User Configuration\Administrator Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer\Browser menus
Double click "tools menu:disable internet options" in the right window pane.
Choose enable and click OK.
Done!
Now open up another IE window and try to access the internet options from the tools menu. See? You can't access the internet options anymore. To revert it, just choose 'disable' from the above option.
